Google Messages will auto-delete OTPs and sort SMSs like Gmail! but only in India
Google is tweaking its Messages application so it can erase OTPs automatically with the goal that those messages don’t mess with the inbox.
Two New Updates:
The tech giant said that it began dealing with the new highlights after users shared feedback about getting a few messages which makes it difficult to separate the important ones.
As of now, this feature will be accessible just in India, and OTP messages can be automatically deleted within 24 hours.
How It Works:
The user should update the Messages application through the Play Store.
To activate the feature, the user needs to click “Proceed” when a brief shows up under a message in the OTP classification reading “Auto-delete OTPs after 24 hrs?”
Other Details:
Machine learning helps assure users of their information security to ease concerns of whether Google is accessing transactional messages.
An internet connection isn’t required for the function to run on a device.
It should be noticed that the new features are optional and settings can be changed accordingly.
There is no official date with respect to when the update will show up in India, yet Google has said carry out can occur in the coming weeks.
