India Plans to Launch a New Cybersecurity Strategy this Year
The New National Cybersecurity Strategy is the first in Indian history:
The Indian government plans to propose a new cybersecurity strategy this year. The Union government has long been committed to a national cybersecurity strategy, and the world is watching how this strategy will develop.
The Cyber Security Strategy Coordinator, Lieutenant General Rajesh Pant, is at an event in the Prime Minister’s Office. General Rajesh Pant said that this strategy will fully cover India’s entire cyberspace ecosystem.
“The vision of this strategy is to ensure a safe, resilient, vibrant, and reliable cyberspace,” he added.
The new cybersecurity strategy will serve as a guide for handling governance, national data resources, local capacity building, and cyber auditing. The national cybersecurity strategy will produce about 80 results. The topic of the Indian Public Affairs Forum (PAFI) dialogue is “CyberSecurity under the New Normal”.
Rajesh Pant said: “The pandemic has caused a 500% increase in cybercrime in India. In terms of cyber attacks, India is one of the three most attacked countries in the world.”
Cybersecurity laws are even more important because India is a cybercrime. One of the radars targeted by molecules. Since India does not have a cybersecurity law, this new national cybersecurity strategy guarantees a comprehensive cybersecurity law. There are also a large number of threats from emerging technologies, such as drones and IoT devices. The government formulated this new national cybersecurity strategy to ensure that cyberspace is safe and reliable.
The 2013 Cybersecurity Strategy Policy may clarify more appropriate response mechanisms related to the cybersecurity of the government and other departments. This cyber law is a long-awaited evolution in Indian cyber law jurisprudence.
